Text Ability



Text Ability refers to, the abilities that a card has, as described in its card text. Cards that have more than one text ability, have their abilities separated by a horizontal line.

Text abilities of Follower Cards are further classified into the following.

CIP abilities
Continuous abilities
Ignition abilities
Trigger abilities






CIP Ability refers to, Follower abilities that are forcibly activated when the Follower is played. CIP stands for Come Into Play, and are denoted by a symbol before the descriptions of the ability.

CIP abilities are compulsory, when the Follower comes into play, regardless of if the player wishes to use the ability.



Continuous Ability refers to, Follower abilities that are constantly activated as long as the Follower remains on the field. Continuous abilities generally do not require a cost, and do not have a specific activation time.

Keyword abilities are a part of continuous abilities.




Ignition Ability refers to, Follower abilities that are activated once a cost has been paid. Ignition abilities can be used as many times as a player wants, as long as the cost can be paid.



The cost to use an ignition ability is shown in bold before a ▷ symbol, following which are the descriptions of the ability.



The order of which a cost is to be paid, in the case of multiple conditions, is from left to right, with each condition being separated by a comma.

OFF abilities are a part of ignition abilities.




Trigger Ability refers to, Follower abilities that are only activated when certain conditions are met, and are signified by an "if" or "when" in the card text.
