Action is a card type. Actions are cards that activate their effects during the Main Phase, by paying a cost.
● The act of paying the cost and using an Action is called "play".
● After Action Cards are played and their abilities have resolved, they are placed in the Discard Pile.
● Action Cards can be placed into the Locus face-down as well.
Snap Action is a subtype of Action Cards. Unlike normal Actions, Snap Actions can be played during both players' Main Phases, during X-Play.
● Apart from being able to be played during X-Play, Snap Actions are treated the same way as normal Actions.
